Deal to bolster medical imaging systems
Epson America has reached an agreement with Royal Philips Electronics that will allow it to automatically to pair its Workforce all-in-one printers with the company's ultrasound medical imaging systems used in healthcare clinics and hospitals in the US and abroad, reports Printer Comparison.
The pairing is accomplished through Epson's ESC/P-R Print Class Driver, which reportedly enables users to print to a full line of Epson inkjet printers from a wide variety of digital equipment.
ESC/P-R is a common language for selected Epson printers that supports every media type, paper size and associated printing mode available on those printers.
Canon releases wireless photo MFPs
Canon has released of two wireless photo MFPs that feature a revamped touch and navigation system, the ability for users to select and print video frames, PCMag notes.
The new PIXMA MG8120 and PIXMA MG6120 Wireless Photo All-In-One (AIO) printers employ Canon's new Intelligent Touch System, which includes back-lit touch-sensitive buttons and a new light guidance system eliminating buttons not in use.
It uses capacitive touch technology, used in many smartphones today, which picks up on electricity in the user's body when a finger glides across the touch surface designed to provide for seamless navigation through menus and other desired commands.
Fujifilm unveils first 3D camera
Fujifilm has unveiled the world's first 3D camera and printing service, says OneIndia.
The new FinePix camera allows the picture to be viewed on the camera's built-in display and printed on special 3D paper, ready to stick in the family photo album.
Unlike the 3D films in cinemas, special glasses do not need to be worn to show the 3D image in Fine Pix camera.
