CHI chooses NCR

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), has signed a preferred vendor agreement with NCR Corporation for self-service kiosks, according to PR Inside.

The NCR MediKiosk technology is designed to eliminate the need for staff to re-enter patient demographic and insurance information into hospital information systems, resulting in fewer claim denials and improved cash flow.

"By simplifying and streamlining patient encounters like the check-in process, NCR MediKiosk can help us reduce administrative paperwork and enable us to create more meaningful interactions between patients and staff," said David Peterson, regional CIO for the Denver-based CHI.

OCRC unveils self-service tool

Orange County Register Communications, a California-based media company, has released a self-service advertising tool that provides a way for small business owners to create and schedule their own display advertising campaigns in the Register's 23 community newspapers, states Earth Times.

Self-serve platforms for both display and classified advertising are accessible on the ocregister.com homepage through a “place an ad” link.

“The Express Ads tool is ideally suited for advertisers who regularly conduct business transactions online, and would prefer a self-service option to manage their print advertising,” said Georgette Simmons, business development manager at Orange County Register Communications.
