Cell-based health suite developed
Medical Care Technologies has begun development of a secure cellular-based tele-health suite, reports CNN Money.
The suite enables users to easily transmit vital signs data via the cellular network, to healthcare professionals utilising the Medsuite application. Tele-Health Suite is a provision of healthcare services using telecommunication technology to provide healthcare solutions over a geographic distance.
Cellular access to Tele-Health Suite allows patients to keep their health regime intact, while being mobile at the same time.
Ingram distributes NextGen systems
IT distributor Ingram Micro will work with NextGen Healthcare Information Systems to expand the number of US resellers of the latter company's electronic health record and practice management systems, states Information Week.
Ingram Micro, which sells IT in about 150 countries, says it will work with NextGen in recruiting, training, and supporting new US distributors. Ingram Micro has been offering a variety of healthcare technology focused on intake, patient care, mobility applications, and universal infrastructure since 2006.
The deal has Ingram Micro providing financing and lease options for NextGen technology.
Agfa offers clinical imaging solutions
Agfa HealthCare, a provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic image management solutions, says it will offer solutions to the healthcare community, writes DOTmed News.
These solutions are developed to meet today's major challenges, including clinical consolidation, results distribution, and improved communication between care providers.
One of the more common challenges healthcare organisations face is effectively capturing, managing, and sharing clinical imaging information across the enterprise or health information exchanges.
