Call for .ZADNA board nominations

Communications minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams has invited South Africans to nominate suitable candidates for the appointment of non-executive board members of the ZA Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA).

According to the invitation, the closing date for nominations is 31 December.

The invitation says ZADNA is looking to ensure appointment of a balanced board with a mix of skills to provide proper governance for the successful implementation of its mandate. It will consider persons with skills and experience in fields such as finance, ICT, corporate and contract law, and HR, among others.

Written nominations must contain a signed nomination letter bearing the name, ID number, physical and postal address, phone number and e-mail address of the individual submitting the nomination.

In regards to the nominee, the application must include a signed letter of acceptance that must be accompanied by a comprehensive curriculum vitae (CV), certified proof of qualifications, as well a copy of an ID. Where applicable, the CV must indicate the nominee's participation on another board and board committee.

"Nominations will not be considered unless all the requirements set out above are met. Correspondence will be entered into with shortlisted candidates only."
