CACI supports naval warfare systems
Defence IT company CACI has won a four-year, $35 million task order for the Naval Warfare Systems Programme Office (WSPO) to support its business functions, writes Executive Biz.
The goal of the work is to bring in new tools and streamline processes in the WSPO. The contract work will take place in three areas: program business strategic vision and planning, program management and execution support, and business and financial management support. CACI says it will also help the Navy WSPO migrate to enterprise resource planning in 2011.
In addition, CACI says its systems engineering and technical assistance and its Web-based contract management system, iNDEVOR, will give the Navy a standardised management platform.

Method123 releases its PM template
Project Management Software industry provider Method123 says that it has just released an Acceptance Management Process template as part of its project management kit product offering, says Market Wire.
Method123's project management kit contains over fifty project management templates. The kit has sold more than 1 million units worldwide, which, the company says, means project managers around the globe are using these templates to more efficiently and effectively manage the projects they oversee.
An Acceptance Management Process is a set of processes, policies, and procedures used by an organisation during the project planning process to formally define the acceptance of deliverables on projects. By setting up agreed upon criteria up front, the delivery team knows what it takes to completely deliver a product, what the acceptance criteria is, and how to obtain customer signoff and approval. Likewise, the customer understands their role and responsibilities in the deliverable and testing acceptance process.
