BSG CEO Jurie Schoeman was on hand to receive the award for Best Employer Brand in SA (below 500 employees on LinkedIn). This prestigious accolade was presented at the South African LinkedIn Talent Awards ceremony, which took place at Levelthree in Sandton on Thursday, 17 October 2019. For BSG, a homegrown South African consulting and technology company, this award is a reflection of the investment the company makes in people, starting with talent attraction.

The LinkedIn Talent Awards are designed to recognise organisations that invest in understanding, engaging and developing talent. Currently run in 12 locations across the world, and recognising organisations in four regions across the Middle East and Africa, the LinkedIn Talent Awards are powered by insights and driven by data. Using carefully crafted criteria, LinkedIn evaluates the performance results and impact of its corporate customers to identify finalists and winners.

Having started its journey with LinkedIn Corporate in July 2018, BSG has gone from strength to strength on the platform, growing its follower base from 4 200 to almost 15 000 in little over a year. By applying creativity, commitment and strong leadership, BSG has carefully curated its LinkedIn presence to authentically represent its focus on growing its people, which has helped the company achieve success.

So, how did it feel to win at the LinkedIn Talent Awards?

“So very proud of this award! We are very grateful to be able to do what we do on a daily basis within BSG, for our clients and with communities around us. One of the fundamental principles we believe in at BSG is continuous learning, but that also requires continuous teaching. Through LinkedIn we have been able to learn about, and learn from, a much broader group of people than ever before, and we have been able to take our BSG story to the world outside of BSG,” said Jurie Schoeman, BSG's CEO.
