ERP software solutions firm Bluekey Seidor has introduced a software solution tailored to the medical distribution industry.
According to the company, SAP Business One Medical Distribution is a multifunctional ERP solution which provides a 360-degree view of every aspect of the distribution process of medical products.
It integrates with financial management processes, operations, sales, reporting, demand planning, complete supply chain management and warehousing, to increase productivity, while monitoring project expense.
Targeted at SMEs in the medical distribution industry, the solution provides executives and managers with instant access to critical business information so they can make informed business decisions regarding forecasting and reporting.
Craig Johnston, marketing manager at Bluekey Seidor, says the medical distribution industry is fiercely competitive, with little room for errors.
"Our solution integrates distribution processes with financial management and operational requirements, providing real-time data and reporting, ensuring you're toe-to-toe with your competitors. In the four main areas of medical distribution (emergency, chronic, acute and seasonal care), on-time delivery of products is imperative.
"This tailored software will provide businesses with a combination punch that will enable them to forecast, track, integrate and automate key distribution processes and products, avoiding delivery glitches that could be devastating for patients and businesses alike," says Johnston.
Bluekey Seidor is SAP's partner in Africa. The company specialises in the implementation, consulting, support and extension of SAP enterprise resource planning.
"Developed by software giant SAP, the solution is powered by SAP HANA's in-memory database technology for analysis and reporting, providing real-time access to predefined dashboards, reports and productivity tools to support decision-making. The financial management functionality handles all key accounting processes, such as journal entries, accounts receivable and accounts payable," notes Johnston.
The stock tracking and forecasting features enable the calculation of required supplies and provides insight into customer preferences and buying patterns, as well as forecasting seasonal trends needed to be anticipated by distributors months in advance (e.g, influenza shots before the winter season and allergy medicine before spring), according to Bluekey Seidor.
"The software can be implemented on-premises for those who prefer their IT environment to be in-house but it can also be hosted and maintained in secure data centres in the cloud. We're confident this solution will reduce costs, streamline order-to-cash processing, increase ROI and automation through real-time data, ultimately improving profit margins," concludes Johnston.
