Bhyve Technologies, a world-leading cellular software systems provider, today announced MediLABS, the result of the “Bhyve sysgen” generated application solution integrated with an existing Laboratory Information Management system that facilitates the provision of laboratory results onto the cellphone.
MediLABS is designed to be handset and mobile operating system agnostic, having the ability to execute with ultra-high efficiency and security on most of the majority of modern cellphones, over any cellular network, providing highly secure off-line services anytime, anywhere.
The creation of MediLABS was motivated by the need to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the health practitioner, while maximising the quality of the patient service experience. While not being onerous for the practitioner to utilise, high standards of care incorporating various mechanisms are employed, thereby ensuring patient information security and protection, including encryption with permission-based access.
Great attention to detail is paid to ensure that the format of the information is maintained reflecting precisely what the standard physical laboratory report shows. Laboratory results unique to that practitioner are securely stored not only on their cellphone database, but also on the MediLABS back-end database. The hard and soft features inherent within most cellphones, such as individual choice, personality, toughness, reach and flexibility now become vastly enriched with the power of MediLABS.
“With MediLABS, the quality of the data availability is now consistent regardless of whether the location is a deep rural or sophisticated urban area,” commented Ray Dalgarno, CEO of Bhyve Technologies. “In addition, the system has potent and intelligent content handling capabilities with powerful data security through vault-strength, 'on-device' and over the air encryption techniques.
Furthermore, software and system information changes can be effected dynamically at the server-level and securely provisioned over the air to all affected end-users.”
“According to many practitioners, a significant amount of time was spent each day communicating with the laboratories,” continued Ray Dalgarno. “However, with the introduction of MediLABS, feedback from the health practitioners clearly indicates that this time-consuming interaction will now be substantially reduced.”
