Fintech company Better Compare has made it easier for citizens to source quotes for different medical aid schemes by adding this functionality to its comparison service.
Better Compare says the new online quoting platform is accessible via its Web site.
In a statement, the company explains that consumers can visit the medical aid page found on its Web site and enter details on what type of medical aid they are looking for, and the quoting engine will sort through over 100 plans from up to six different medical schemes.
Once the first step has been completed, the site will then show the plans, their unique features and benefits and monthly premiums.
According to Better Compare, once a user has chosen the quote that best suits their needs, the service helps them progress the quote with the medical scheme and plan they like.
“Not all medical schemes offer the same premiums,” says Derek Wilson, MD of Better Compare. “The only way to know you’ve got the best deal is to compare what is out there based on your own unique profile and needs. Comparing before you buy is arguably now more important than ever to do in order to help ensure you are getting the best value for your hard-earned cash.”
Better Compare indicates it has been adding more products to compare in recent months as demand from cash-strapped consumers grows. The company says consumers are in search of better deals on products such as their monthly car insurance.
“Our medical aid comparison service is entirely free for consumers to use with no hidden catches. It is also free for the growing list of companies to feature on our various quoting panels. We simply charge the providers on our panel a marketing introducer fee for each client, but in no way does this marketing fee influence the end price the consumer gets, which is always direct from the providers,” notes Wilson.
