AST connects SANParks to the world

AST Networks, a business unit of AST, has successfully completed the first on-demand Internet Caf'e at the South African National Parks` (SANParks`) Berg-en-Dal rest camp.

SANParks` Berg-en-Dal rest camp is situated at the southern area of the Kruger National Park and attracts thousands of international and local visitors a year.

Using Telkom ISDN technology, Cisco Router equipment and Internet Caf'e software, AST Networks` solution at Berg-en-Dal will allow local and international visitors to stay in touch with the business world, as well as family and friends when visiting the rest camp.

"This allowed us to implement the solution within three days with success just in time for the holiday season."
