Arrests follow cheating gadget scheme
Police in China have arrested at least 64 people suspected of selling hi-tech devices to help students cheat in the country's annual college entrance exam, says the Hindustan Times.
Police arrested suspects from six crime groups, including 58 people in south eastern Fujian Province, over the past few days for selling hi-tech gadgets in the form of watches and other equipment, which enabled the students to communicate with outsiders to get answers for the questions.
A number of devices, such as wireless earphones, signal emitters, scanner-imbedded pens and watches were confiscated, said Lin Qitian, a provincial official in charge of college enrolment.
Samsung confirms galaxy tablet
Samsung has confirmed it will release a tablet computer in the second half of the year, reports InformationWeek.
The revelation comes after Samsung employees in SA posted the picture on Twitter last week. The image was taken down later in the day, but continued to circulate on the Web.
On Friday, Samsung acknowledged a tablet was coming, but declined to provide details.
BlackBerry boasts ECG reports
BlackBerry phones can now show ECG reports directly, with Vodafone and Research In Motion introducing the latest telemedicine feature to India, according to Health News 18.
With this, doctors can view patients' ECG and other medical reports right on their BlackBerry device.
BlackBerry and Vodafone have introduced the application in Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. This can be a potential time saver for doctors, as they can check patients ECG reports anytime and anywhere without rushing into the medical rooms with equipment.
