Anti-doping training goes online
The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) e-Learning, a free online education tool, has been developed, writes Rugby.com.
This online education tool aims to make it easier for the Australian rugby community to get educated on anti-doping.
The core six 20-minute modules, called Pure Performance Online, aims to provide the opportunity to learn about the key areas of anti-doping. It covers topics such as prohibited substances and methods, therapeutic use exemptions, doping control and whereabouts.
Online learning praised
Educationist Dan Lips has called on legislators to give parents more freedom to choose the best learning environment for their children, notes NewsOK.
He has also praised online learning as an innovative educational choice that lets students receive individualised instruction.
“As the head of an Oklahoma City-based online learning provider that partners with schools and districts state-wide to offer Oklahoma Virtual High School, I've seen firsthand how online education has helped state students graduate and succeed,” he says.
College offers adult degree online
Sierra Nevada College is unveiling an adult degree education programme on the Internet, reports SF Gate.
Officials for the private college at Incline Village say initial program will offer Bachelor of Arts degrees in business administration and psychology beginning this month.
School president Richard Rubsamen says the programme is in conjunction with Capital Education, a provider of online learning platforms for colleges and universities. He says it features interactive software, an interdisciplinary curriculum and a flexible schedule aimed at adults who need a flexible schedule to complete assignments.
