Alcatel exec wins NBN CFO role
The National Broadband Network (NBN) company, based in Australia, has appointed Jean-Pascal Beaufret as its new chief financial officer (CFO), reports ZDNet Australia.
Beaufret was Alcatel-Lucent's former CFO. In addition, NBN has hired former Coles executive Greg Willis to be the company's programme delivery manager.
Mike Quigley, NBN CEO, says: "Everyone who is joining NBN during its formative stage is well aware of the tasks ahead and the commitment needed to guide what will be a very large and complex infrastructure project.”
Criterion snaps up former DHS chief
Criterion Systems, a provider of IT services to US government, has appointed former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief procurement officer, Greg Rothwell, to the company's board of advisors, states Reuters.
During his 34-year career in the federal acquisition community, Rothwell served in 10 different agencies and was responsible for growing some of the government's largest procurement programmes and contract vehicles.
Promod Sharma, president and CEO of Criterion, says Rothwell joins some of the most influential leaders from the government, intelligence community and the military.
HCL gets new CEO
HCL Security, a system integration company headquartered in India, has named Rothin Bhattacharyya as its new CEO, says Tech Whack.
Bhattacharyya has worked with Siemens and KPMG and has also been member of the National Steering Committee on Information Technology constituted by the Indian government.
Bhattacharyya, says: “HCL Security has tie-ups with the leading global security firms. Our understanding and rich experiences of integrating technology has helped us deliver global standard security solutions to many prestigious organisations in the country.”
