Softline Accpac and business partner MyMethod Consulting have secured a deal with UK-based, African business conglomerate Lonrho, for the installation of Accpac ERP 200 at two of its hotels: Grand Karavia Hotel, in the DRC, and Leopard Rock Hotel, in Zimbabwe.
Lonrho Hotels group financial controller Tinashe Munyati says the decision was based on the fact that Accpac has 25 years of experience as one of Africa's leading business management software companies, offers a solid financial management system, and has an extremely well established support network through Southern and Central Africa.
“We selected Accpac because we know that we will get results. It is a powerful Web-based, affordable and expandable business management solution, which seamlessly integrates with our front-office hospitality and the materials' stock management systems.”
Softline Accpac, VP: Sales, Keith Fenner, says Accpac ERP 200 offers Lonrho powerful analysis and reporting tools and a robust accounting feature set, complete with operations management capabilities. “Customers within the hotel and leisure sector have very specific requirements. Softline Accpac understands and meets these requirements, knowing well that technology plays a vital role in the success of every hotel.”
Mich Martins, Director; MyMethod Consulting, says because Accpac 200 ERP is built on superior Accpac architecture, Lonrho will find it easy to upgrade as its business needs expand.
And expand it will, according to Munyati: “Lonhro operates in various core business sectors across many countries, and we believe that Africa truly is an emerging market with lots of growth opportunity.”
The Grand Karavia Hotel, in the DRC, will be the first hotel that will go live in April 2010, followed by the Leopard Rock Hotel, in Zimbabwe.
