Africa`s number one Softline ACCPAC business partner, AccTech Systems, has successfully installed Accpac ERP 500 at healthcare administration and health risk management organisation Momentum Africa.
Phase one of the installation saw the roll-out of the new system to Momentum Africa`s head office in Melrose Arch, together with the setup of terminal services connections from the various African operations.
"A prerequisite for the new system was seamless integration with our health administration system," says Mark Friday, chief financial officer of Momentum Africa.
"Accpac`s integration, together with its advanced reporting functionalities, provided Momentum Africa with a perfect fit. We have offices in Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Mauritius, Ghana and Kenya. The fact that AccTech has representation in almost all of these locations made our choice of business partners an easy one," says Friday.
Tertius Zitzke, managing director for AccTech Systems, says Accpac`s general ledger (GL) consolidations enabled Momentum Africa to transfer account and transaction information between separate company and branch office locations. This functionality, together with Accpac`s Intercompany Transaction module, proved to be extremely valuable.
"The newly installed system automatically keeps a detailed audit trail of all consolidation activities. Momentum Africa`s system runs across various African subsidiaries and, as such, the GL consolidations modules have to translate from functional currency or source currency into the originating ledger. This standard feature of Accpac ERP resulted in a problem free installation," says Zitzke.
Friday says the results of the new system installed in phase one have been phenomenal: "We are looking at expanding the new technologies to other areas of the business and to include solutions such as Accpac CRM into some of our new business ventures."
