Infosys, Wipro woo talent

Tech firms Infosys and Wipro are playing up innovation to float newer ways of attracting and catching talent, writes The Times of India.

The partnership sees the tech companies open up a green channel to attract ex-employees as well as new ICT graduates. Under the talent retention scheme, employees will be offered the option to take a masters degree from BITS Pilani.

''We are hiring 3 000 fresh candidates under this programme this year. This is the first time we are hiring thousands under the Wipro Academy of Software Excellence and in earlier years,” says Pradeep Bahirwani, global head of talent acquisition, Wipro Technologies.

Marie Stopes centralises HR

The global charity, Marie Stopes International, has introduced an integrated HR, payroll and e-recruiter system to centralise its HR and payroll information into a central database, states Employee Benefits.

This will enable the organisation to decrease administration, reduce costs, and focus on more strategic HR and payroll tasks.

Through the system, provided by Agresso Business World, HR and payroll staff will have access to information around payroll, remuneration, training and development management as well as absence management.
