Google tussles over search criticism
Google Enterprise product management director Matt Glotzbach on Tuesday threw down the gauntlet and accused Autonomy, an enterprise search company, of lying about Google's search technology to scare potential customers, says Information Week.
At issue is an Autonomy white paper that describes Google's enterprise search technology using, as Glotzbach puts it, "[i]naccuracies about our enterprise ranking algorithms, and downright fabrications about our security and access control capabilities".
The white paper acknowledges that non-secure Web servers can be easily integrated with Google's enterprise search hardware, but "integrating information from databases, file systems and content management applications into Google is considerably more complex, and in some cases, impossible".

Interwoven outgrows Sunnyvale
In an effort to cope with growing quarterly revenue and an increasing employee base, Interwoven is relocating its global headquarters from Sunnyvale to San Jose, California, says CMS Wire.
The new headquarters are designed to better meet the needs of the growing enterprise CMS giant. The city of San Jose greeted the relocated headquarters with open arms, with mayor Chuck Reed announcing his satisfaction with this development in a statement he issued.
"Interwoven is a leader in content management, and in its new location they'll be surrounded by the largest concentration of technology talent and expertise in the country," he stated. "My City Council colleagues and I welcome Interwoven to San Jose, and assure the company of our support as it grows its operations in the Capital of Silicon Valley."
