McAfee VirusScan Enterprise has received a certification from antivirus product testing and certification facility, ICSA, which certifies it for use in Microsoft Windows Vista. McAfee is a gold sponsor of the ITWeb Security Summit.
"McAfee VirusScan Enterprise provides a high level of threat protection for enterprise PCs running Microsoft Windows Vista," says George Japak, vice president of ICSA Labs.
The software includes proactive protection from viruses, worms, rootkits, hacker attacks, exploits and other unwanted programmes for desktops and servers. The software uses behavioural technology to scan known and unknown threats to a system.
"This certification underscores the importance of having a comprehensive and proactive defence against today's most dangerous Internet threats," says Chris van Niekerk, regional director of Africa at McAfee. He says the software provides an added layer of security to Vista machines to protect endpoints, servers, desktops and laptops.
