Marshal has released its new e-mail security and management solution, MailMarshal SMTP 2006, that combines spam URL black list lookups and spam filtering based on country of origin.
The software, distributed in South Africa by 10Net ICT Solutions, introduces new anti-spam technologies.
"CountrySensor is one of the new anti-spam technologies in the new product, allowing customers to apply specialised spam settings to e-mail that originates from different countries," says Riaan Otto, GM of 10Net ICT Solutions. "It allows customers to be more sophisticated in how they manage spam and even deny spam from countries they do not normally do business with."
The product also provides new anti-attack features for denial of service and directory harvesting attacks that can disrupt normal e-mail operations. The software also features advanced HELO SMTP Receiver support to require connecting e-mail servers to adhere to Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) industry standards.
"From integrated URLs to image spam, spammers are being smarter about how they target users. MailMarshal SMTP 2006 introduces enhanced features as part of its solution to help combat unwanted and high risk e-mails and protect an organisation`s security whilst ensuring productivity and flexibility in the workplace," says Ed Macnair, CEO of Marshal.
The new product is suitable for integration with any SMTP e-mail environment including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and others.
