Avistar C3 works with Citrix

Avistar Communications' Avistar C3 media engine was recently part of a demonstration along with the Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop products, showing its ability as a visual communications solution for the terminal and thin client market, reports TMCnet.

The company claims its architected platform is the only visual communications package that works without any installation, integration, latency, quality, experience and volume steaming glitches with Citrix products.

The solution can deduce the best way to integrate high quality, scalable video and audio conferencing as part of the unified communications experience on the desktop, and core functionality tasks such as establishing a video or audio call.

Video e-mail tracking solution released

Flimp Media, a developer of online video marketing and viewer analytics solutions, is partnering with on-demand e-mail provider, ExactTarget, to offer e-mail marketers a metrics-driven video e-mail messaging solution, according to PR Newswire.

The partnership marries the power of the Flimp Web-based solution to create and track video landing pages without any programming with ExactTarget's one-to-one e-mail marketing platform.

This gives e-mail marketers the ability to build, distribute and track video based e-mail marketing campaigns.

Polycom intros entry-level system

Polycom has released an entry-level telepresence solution that will, according to the company, retail for $5 999, reports FierceVoip.

The HDX 6000 room telepresence system offers high-definition (HD)-quality conferencing with HD video, voice and content sharing capabilities for a cost-effective way to cut travel costs while maintaining collaboration and connectivity.

Polycom is marketing the HDX 6000 as a way for companies to improve collaboration and reduce operating costs.
