Datatec subsidiary Logicalis Latin America has secured a $12 million contract spanning across South America.
The contract sees the company design, supply and implement one of the region's largest network and communications infrastructures for a top oil and gas enterprise.
The buyer has not been named. Countries included in the implementation are Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile and others.
Logicalis says the installation will take seven months and will include design and procurement of all infrastructure, including mobile phone and Cisco equipment, local area network switching, wireless area network routing, wireless solutions, security solutions and an IP contact centre.
The project includes a two-year maintenance contract.
Logicalis Group CEO Ian Cook adds the contract offers further opportunities in North America.
"We have been working with this client for a number of years and are now providing them with a wider, richer and more comprehensive package of services and infrastructure. It is worth noting that the client is based out of South America and is looking to us to deliver across both North and South America."
