Verizon Business, a unit of Verizon Communications serving corporate customers, said on Monday its quarterly revenue rose, helped by growth in Internet-based telecommunications services.
Verizon Business said second-quarter revenue rose 2.4% from the same period a year earlier to $5.3 billion.
It also said global sales of new services, such as Ethernet and private Internet protocol services, outpaced a decline in sales of traditional voice and data.
Verizon Communications profit announced its quarterly results last week, and reported a net profit of $1.68 billion, or 58c per share. That was up from $1.61 billion, or 55c per share a year earlier, and in line with expectations.
