Electronics and electrical engineering group Reunert says that it will pay a preference dividend on 29 January.
The company yesterday told shareholders that a preference dividend at the rate of 5.5% per annum had been declared and amounted to 5.5c a share.
In November, the company released its annual results to end-September and said that shareholders had been paid a total of R4.73 in dividends, including a R2 special dividend.
A final dividend of R2.10 was declared, 24% up on last year.
CEO Gerrit Pretorius said the company, which has a 40% stake in Siemens Telecommunications and owns Nashua Mobile, saw revenue up by 17%, to R8.2 billion. Operating profit moved up 39%, to R1.3 billion.
He said the higher percentage growth in profit, compared to turnover, was achieved as a result of limiting overhead increases to below 8%.
Reunert's shares closed yesterday at R81.89, up from 2006's last day of trade close of R81.75.
