SOA Software drives governance

SOA Software, an integrated SOA governance vendor, has added support for extensions to Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Communication Framework version 4.0, reports Market Watch.

The company is also providing a preview of its new governance models for the Oslo modelling platform at the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference, which is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre this week.

Microsoft's application server is being enhanced through new capabilities in .NET Framework 4.0 (specifically Windows Communication Foundation 4.0 and Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0) and with a set of extensions to the application server role codenamed Dublin.

IBM has expanded its Integrated Data Management (IDM) software initiative with new offerings from the Optim portfolio to assist organisations in managing application data with greater consistency across the enterprise, says Market Watch.

According to IBM, the software builds upon a foundation of shared information, allowing teams to develop and deploy enterprise-ready applications faster, with better performance, while mitigating governance risks.

"IBM Optim expands on our Information on Demand strategy, providing an open, integrated environment for customers to manage the data across related applications, databases and platforms,” says Arvind Krishna, VP of IBM Data Management.

Training Camp, a provider of accelerated IT and professional development training programmes, is offering IT-GRC, a training programme on IT compliance, risk management and governance, states The Earth Times.

"It is becoming increasingly important for companies to be able to not only comply with industry guidelines in terms of their networks and IT infrastructures, but also to set up the correct internal framework to maximise security and efficiency within their organisations," says Steve Gaudino, CEO of Training Camp.

Training Camp provides the IT-GRC course in partnership with the GRC Group, an organisation providing research and professional services in corporate governance, risk management and internal control compliance.
