Webtop BPM integrates services

CustomCall Data Systems has released a new version of its Webtop BPM integrated billing and OSS solution, states Xchange Mag.

Version 8.0 now integrates billing, EPBB, commissions, collections, reseller management, order management, trouble tickets and a workflow-based OSS in a single, configurable package.

Selling to CLECs, local and long-distance companies, VOIP and IPTV service providers, cable, Internet and wireless operators, Wisconsin-based CustomCall applied input received from all of its customers into the latest release.

SharePoint defies downturn

Times are tough all over, but it seems somebody forgot to tell that to the growing ranks of SharePoint developers, writes Visual Studio Magazine.

Even as general IT and development budgets turn south, industry watchers say the amount of activity around SharePoint applications and features continues to rise.

Behind the activity is the wildfire growth of Microsoft's file sharing, collaboration and portal platform, which includes Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 integrated into Windows Server.

Active, Seros in tech deal

Active Endpoints reveals a deal that sees Seros, a provider of consulting and pre-integrated open-standards-based Web services software, offering Active Endpoints' ActiveVOS as its core technology for orchestration, states Search SOA.

The partnership seeks to ride the trend that sees software providers and software channel players providing visual modelling tools for BPM.

ActiveVOS seems like a good fit for Seros, as it provides standards-based visual orchestrating for creating SOA and BPM applications, according to the company.
