Vivendi acquisition rumours gather momentum
Investec director of enterprise software research Jeff Van Rhee believes that a deal in which Microsoft will acquire the games division of Vivendi is in the works, reports Reuters.
"There was some actionable data that things were heating up pretty quickly," he says.

TI devices to read text messages aloud
Babel Technologies and Texas Instruments (TI) have signed an agreement whereby TI mobile devices will feature the PocketBabil text to speech technology.
The devices will enable users to listen to text messages, receive spoken feedback and listen to e-mail and voice prompts. PocketBabil supports 18 languages, including Arabic, English and French.
Aucor auctions Shaun Pollock memorabilia
Local auction site Aucor.com has teamed up with SA cricket captain Shaun Pollock to sell autographed match items and memorabilia from his personal collection.
The memorabilia includes shirts and hats worn by Pollock at various matches. Pollock joins another cricketing star, Jonty Rhodes, on the auction site.
