HP appoints EMC storage chief

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has appointed EMC's David Donatelli to serve as its executive vice-president for enterprise servers, storage and networking, states Channel Web.

Donatelli previously served as president of EMC's storage division, where he was responsible for the EMC storage platforms and related software businesses.

HP says Donatelli's appointment is effective 5 May, and coincides with a restructuring of its hardware business, which includes combining its ProCurve networking business into the same organisation as servers and storage.

Platform Computing gets new CMO

Platform Computing, provider in grid and cloud computing software, has snapped up Randy Clark as chief marketing officer, says DABCC.

Clark will be responsible for Platform's worldwide marketing and will also be focusing on the company's cloud computing initiative.

Songnian Zhou, CEO for Platform Computing, says Clark will be driving the company's cloud computing strategy to the enterprise market.

Neterion nets CEO

Virtualisation company Neterion has appointed Todd Oseth as president and CEO of the company, reports Market Wire.

Prior to the position, Oseth served as the CEO of ColdStor Data, a provider of cloud-based archiving products, where he facilitated raising capital for the start-up.

Oseth is set to drive the company in the virtualisation 10GbE market and lead Neterion through the next phase of growth and development.
