Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank have been hired by the MTN Group to advise it on its talks with Telkom, reports Bloomberg.
The media company also notes that Telkom is being advised by JPMorgan Chase.
The news follows last week's statements from both companies stating they are in talks.
