Arivia.kom has appointed an acting head for its outsourcing business unit, after placing that division`s managing executive on "extended leave" earlier this week.
Hugo Knoetze, COO of the State-owned IT company, says Magda Engelbrecht, account manager for arivia.kom`s Spoornet account, will replace Zakes Mnisi for the time being.
Knoetze would not give details about the circumstances that led to Mnisi being placed on extended leave, and also remained tight-lipped about whether the company is considering any form of disciplinary action or investigation surrounding the move.
"I am not in a position to elaborate, but he will be on extended leave until our internal thought processes have been finalised about the way forward," Knoetze said earlier.
Mnisi has been with arivia.kom since its inception in January 2001, and held numerous positions within the group. He was appointed as head of outsourcing in March this year. Prior to this, he was the managing executive of the group`s infrastructure unit.
