The deadline for entries for the seventh Science and Technology Awards is 31 January, says the organiser, the National Science & Technology Forum (NSTF).
The awards are endorsed by the Department of Science and Technology with Minister Mosibudi Mangena being the official patron.
The awards recognise work in the fields of research, innovation, development, engineering and science and technology education.
"Enter your work, your colleagues` work or your organisations` work for the NSTF Awards and you might win one of the prestigious trophies or at least gain recognition for your or their efforts," the official NSTF statement says.
It also says that even if the entrants do not win they might inspire others to take the route of science, engineering and technology.
"Share with us a celebration of outstanding contributions of Individuals and Organisations to Science, Engineering and Technology through this event by entering or persuading others to enter," the statement says.
