ICASA's board has been without four board members since October 2014.

The Independent Communications Authority of SA's (ICASA's) process to find new councillors is nearing the end, as Parliament approves the names of four candidates to fill the vacant positions.

This is according to a report by News 24.

The candidates are: Paris Mashile, Peter Zimri, Botlenyana Mokhele and Keabatswe Modimoeng.

Twelve names were shortlisted in May, and then cut to seven.

Last month, communications minister Faith Muthambi reportedly recommended four names of possible candidates to Parliament to fill spaces on the board that have been vacant since October 2014.

The names will now be forwarded to Muthambi for consideration, reports the publication.
