High-end monitor gives gamers an edge

Johannesburg, 16 Mar 2016

The Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) SWIFT gaming monitor range is available through Tarsus Distribution, offering users a selection of displays designed to deliver extreme gaming performance. The ROG SWIFT product portfolio packs in nearly every feature a gamer could ask for.

The new series of 27" displays feature in-plane switching (IPS) panels, Nvidia G-Sync, ASUS-exclusive GamePlus hotkeys for in-game enhancements, GameVisual technology for optimised visuals, Ultra-Low Blue Light, and Flicker-Free technologies to protect your eyes and reduce eye-strain during long sessions of gaming.

They're designed to reduce tearing, stutter and input lag during gameplay and to deliver crisp visuals at the highest-resolutions.

The product range includes:

* The ROG Swift PG279Q with a 2K/WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, and is the world's first display with a 165Hz refresh rate for unrivalled smoothness.
* The ROG SWIFT PG278Q which is the world's first WQHD N G-SYNC monitor with rapid 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
* The ROG Swift PG27AQ that features a 4K/UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution - four-times the sharpness of Full-HD - for gamers who have the best rigs and demand the best output.

"If you've invested in a cutting-edge rig with the muscle to handle the most demanding games at the highest frame rates and resolutions, you need a screen that will do it justice. With the ROG SWIFT range, your frame rate will no longer be capped by your display, you'll be able to enjoy ultra-high definition gaming, and screen tearing will be a thing of the past. A ROG SWIFT monitor will give you years of service because it is built for the games of the future," Says Diana Hughes, Asus product manager at Tarsus Distribution.
