Altron has appointed Dolores Mashishi to the position of group executive for human capital.
In a statement, the JSE-listed group says Mashishi comes to Altron after spending five years as group executive for corporate services at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. She also held the position of HR executive at Brait South Africa, and was head of learning and development at Investec Bank.
Mashishi holds an MSc in education from the University of Eastern Illinois, Chicago, and various management programmes through INSEAD, Harvard Business School and Wits Business School.
Mashishi's new role will see her report directly to Altron CEO Mteto Nyati.
Speaking about Mashishi's appointment, Nyati says: "People and culture are at the heart of our turnaround strategy at Altron. With her extensive and diverse in-depth management experience in human capital, Dolores will drive the executive responsibility for people development, top talent recruitment and retention, ensuring our people work in an environment that enables them to thrive and reach their potential.
